Is Glance free?
Yes. Glance is free and open source under the MIT license.
Does Glance record my screen?
No. Screen captures are processed locally and never stored permanently. When using cloud LLMs, only extracted text/context is sent — never raw screenshots.
Can I use Glance offline?
Yes. Use Ollama as your LLM provider for fully local, offline operation. Basic screen reading works without any provider.
Does Glance work on macOS?
Not yet. Glance currently supports Windows and Linux. macOS support is on the roadmap.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Glance is open source — you can audit every line of code. Screen data stays local. Memory is stored only on your device.
